Well after going through all the motorcycle wrecks, I had 3 articles of interest for cyclists. (You guys on motorcycles need to learn how to ride, and I don’t mean just starting and stopping etc. I mean how and when to ride fast. Motorcycle Riding Schools and Racing Organizations )
Up first let’s get the Really Bad News out of the way first. Reporting from Oz is someone using a bicycle as a prop to steal cars. Keep helping hands to yourself, Samaritans told Yes, some low-life is highjacking cars, and our good reputation as well, by pretending to be an injured cyclist. If you find this guy beat the living crap outta him, then call the cops to dispose of the remains.
Still from Oz we have the Bad News. I get this about once or twice a month, but they don’t try to spank me in the process. Cyclist slams hoons after close call What I get is the buzz job followed by the passenger shouting obscenities or suggestions as to where I belong. I have never been spanked by someone (except by fellow cyclists climbing hills and then only in the figurative sense, not literally) on the roads. As for how you can avoid this I suggest 6′ of 1/8″ by 1″ bar stock welded to your frame centered on the seat post with the long way flat. When the car gets within 3 feet of you it gouges the Mariana Trench in the side of the car. Bad part is then you get knocked down but at least you got yours in first. If LEO ask about it it’s for tying down luggage when you go grocery shopping or camping.
And finally the Good News, as a cyclist rescues some people who had been locked in a pub after a robbery. Cyclist answers distress call as pub staff locked up in axe attack Yeah, it might have been better to have gotten there in time to catch the thieves, but then there might have been one extra person locked in that room.
