Not much going down today. The cats have been wandering around the house looking for Mrs. the Poet and now her cat (Clyde) is behind me in my chair and trying to worm me off the chair. I’m a little peeved at the cats at the moment because one of them knocked down the card I was using to make the floor for the TGS2 mockup and put a big crease in it making it unusable. I suspect Clyde because I saw him walking through my work area several times but since I didn’t see the crime happen I can’t collar a suspect. Now I have to wait for more of the right kind of junk mail to come in.
Speaking of the scale mockup TGS2, before the cat walked on it I finally had a layout I was comfortable with for the wheel cutouts. But since I know what I did I can do it again even better when the next suitable piece of junk mail arrives. Now watch as I never get that kind of junk mail ever again.
My eyes are still bothering me after the allergy attack that kept me from playing with the RPG yesterday. I’m still getting intermittent whiteouts from the goop in my eyes, but at least the itching and burning has gone away. I’m trying to figure out what has been causing all this hate and discontent but all I can get is “grass pollen” when I was hoping for a species to exterminate. I really hope it’s not all grasses because I like walking barefoot on a lush lawn, and wiping out my lawn won’t protect me from the neighbors’ lawns or the lawn down the street or the park the block over. Not to mention all the positive benefits of grass in reducing the heat island effect of metropolitan areas.
Off on a tangent does anyone know what the effect of replacing conventional roofs with solar shingles would have on the heat island, worse, better, or about the same? How about covering asphalt parking lots with solar panel canopies? I’m hoping for a win-win-win of reduced heat island to go with the weather protection underneath and power generation.
Back on track, part of the problems I’m having is the allergies are making me dehydrated somehow. I don’t know if having my nose blocked makes me breathe through my mouth more or what but I tripled my fluid intake today and I’m still getting the dry-eye. That would be something else interesting to study.
Well I have meandered long enough, I really need to do some things around the house.
