To the Goddesses of the Moon

Hp, HPs, P, and Ps call quarters using Terri’s quarter calls, Hps in East, HP in South, Ps in West, and P in North

HPs: I bring my faint talents to exalt the Shining Ones, those Goddesses who associate with the Moon, yea even Luna herself be praised this night. The Triple Goddess of the Moon, and her sisters Artemis, Hecate, and Bendis, whose light shines down as noon in the midnight, We are gathered to honor you.

HP: In Ancient Times Homer wrote: “Hear, Goddess queen, diffusing silver light, Bull-horn’d, and wand’ring thro’ the gloom of Night.” And so we call all of you to partake in our humble ritual this fair night. As Shelley summoned you: “Daughters of Jove, whose voice is melody, Muses, who know and rule all minstrelsy, Sing the wide-winged Moon! ” And we sing to you our humble chant:

We all come from the Goddess
And to Her we shall return.
Like a drop. Of. Rain.
Flowing to the ocean. (X3)

Ps: Homer again said: “All-seeing pow’r, bedeck’d with starry light, Lover of vigilance, the foe of strife, In peace rejoicing, and a prudent life.” We ask that peace be bestowed upon us until we complete this rite, that our worship of you may be in the fullness of your peace and undisturbed. Until as Shelley sang: “But when the Moon divine from Heaven is gone, Under the sea, her beams within abide.”

And we sing our humble chant:
Shine triple Goddess Artemis, Artemis!
Full moon come to us.
Shine triple Goddess Hecate, Hecate!
New moon come to us.
Shine triple Goddess Bendis, Bendis!
Crescent moon come to us. (X3) (if enough people 2nd and 3rd times through as a round, after the first line)

P: Oh, lovely Moon we adore you, and beseech that you grant your powers and beauty on our humble rite this evening as we share your energy in these tokens of food and drink. (bless and pass cakes and ale, giving some to the tree)

After Cakes and Ale all 4 ritualists gather around the center altar holding staff.
All: As it was in the beginning,
P: So shall it be in the end.
Ps: The circle is open
HP: But unbroken. Merry meet.
Hps: Merry part, and Merry Meet Again!

Any remaining Cakes and Ale are distributed to those that want. Clean up circle, giving any unused C&A to the tree.
